  16. it would be sooo good to have the artist's name included here, so we could follow up on him, see
    other work of his, perhaps.

  19. i paint and it is so hard to capture the basic essence of what you're trying to present. I fully am inspired and by this, I know that you are good.

  20. i admit it is very good, but not as good as some chalk drawing i saw before... they looked like they were really there

  21. amazing i wish i could get that shipyard one in my house i would pay a lot for it

    Comment by X-ray first mate— August 2, 2007 #

  22. This is brilliant. An accomplished artist displays his work on a website and because you can hide behind your keyboard you people feel empowered enough to berate each other and the artist's work without any reservation. I bet you wouldn't stand in front of this man and tell him that his work is shite. I've never read such a load of toss in my life, you should all be embarrassed. Nice paintings by the way.

    Comment by Mc— July 14, 2007 #

  25. The posters are COMPLETELY WRONG who lament those that criticize. Critique is the lifeblood of the arts. Now having said that, this work is pretty darn lame and amateur. If you think this is ???amazing??? you need to raise your bar a few notches. It is not terrible but the fact is, it is certainly not all that great! Period!

    Comment by WALTER— July 14, 2007 #

  26. What business is it of yours if I like it? NONE. If you don't like it, fine. If I do, fine. If you were really a painter, you'd be painting, not spending time trashing other people's work. Painters paint. Writers write. Assholes criticize.

    Comment by ADD— July 12, 2007 #

  27. Looks like a decal mural that you'd buy at Wal Mart

Comment by MorgaN buck— July 11, 2007 #

  28. Oh and for Anton, I'm a painter, all you need is experience to do work like this. Talent would only serve as a distraction to painting in this inferior style.

Comment by MorgaN buck— July 11, 2007 #

  29. Maybe you should try painting without the contour lines. Any true master of illusion knows that contour lines are for walt disney. You are a cheeze.

Comment by MorgaN buck— July 11, 2007 #

  30. Please don't paint people with such a broad brush, you show your own stupidity when you make such generalizations about the American people.

Comment by Joe Bloe— July 10, 2007 #

  31. I second Anton's comment...Chad needs to get a doctor to extract his head from his anus for him; to be able to create works of trompe l'oeil on this scale require talent and a grasp of perspective beyond most modern artists, myself included! The only 'cheesy and un-necessary' thing here is Chad's comment - another fine example of how being born in America can be bad for your brain.

    Comment by James— July 10, 2007 #

  32. Cheesy and ignorant? You are a moron...the talent required to do something like this is amazing...go back to you mullets and American Idol, you twit.

    Comment by Anton— July 10, 2007 #

  33. How much would something like this cost? I'd like to do a fundraiser for my church. It's something everyone in the congregation would enjoy for years to come! Please email me back at nicolefreckles@hotmail.com

  37. These are really marvelous efforts. The most striking factor is the depth which every painting exhibits and indicates the expertise of the creator.

  42. it takes a lot of planning to accomplish a work of art at this magnitude.
I tried- very successfully- to create an image of my work stand with my drill in it's holder using only a regular pen and white paper. if you look at it from the same direction I drew it, you get the illusion you can really grab it.
too bad I can only go that far in my work place.
I think that, given the chance I could have made a real masterpiece...
maybe I'll go that way after I leave the Israeli Defense Force...
I'm about to get drafted real soon...
hope the guys there like that I'm totally disconnected with the subject after a sentence or two...
